Kelsey W. Pitts
Kelsey W. Pitts is a registered patent attorney and is admitted to the Washington, D.C. bar. Kelsey received her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as an editor on the Georgetown Law Technology Review. Prior to attending law school, Kelsey conducted immuno-oncology research at the University of Maryland School of Medicine before later becoming a registered patent agent and paralegal with an IP law firm. Kelsey received her B.A. in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry from Washington University in St. Louis and is expecting to receive her M.S. in Applied Biotechnology in May 2027.
Kelsey's practice includes the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign utility patent applications, in addition to litigation support. She also assists in the preparation of opinions of counsel including patentability, non-infringement, invalidity, and freedom-to-operate analyses. Her technical areas of expertise include molecular and cellular biology, immunology, therapeutic antibodies, and genetic engineering.
